The weather has finally cooled off and we've taken her outside a little more. We did discover that she is scared of grass. She cries if we try to make her stand in the grass, or even on the sidewalk next to the grass. Hopefully we can get her past that soon.
Shawn's dad's side of the family had a small reunion. It was just the families of Shawn's grandmother and her two siblings. Even with not all of them showing up there were a lot of people. One of Joe's cousins has 8 kids and most of them have grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Out of all of these people I only had met two or three of them before. Shawn's grandmother died when he was about 3 years old and I guess after that they just didn't get together much. Anyway, we took pictures of all the individual family groups. So we got a picture of us with Shawn's parents, his sister, her kids and his aunt.
On Georgia's birthday we gave her a cupcake. That was about the extent of our celebrating on her actual birthday. I'll do a separate post about her party.
Here she is feeding herself some eggs.
She loves bananas.
And turkey.
When I saw her sleeping like this I went to get the camera as fast as I could.
Georgia loves to play with the phone. She finally figured out how to get to it. We have since relocated it so that it won't happen again.
Success!
While sleeping on my lap, Georgia woke up briefly, started to crawl away, and then fell asleep again.
This is all of our family at the reunion.
This is what happens when Shawn gives Georgia a bath.
Front view.
Here Georgia is showing that she can stand up without holding on.
This is what we saw when we came home from work one day. My dad took her out because it was a nice day.
Georgia clapping because she was standing up.
Her one year picture.
Cupcake.
She picked off one piece and rather than eating the little piece, she picked up the whole cupcake and took a bite out of it.
Yummy.
Cramming it in.
Then she started playing with the crumbs.
